George Raveling
George Raveling is a basketball Hall of Famer and a legendary coach. He served as the head coach for Washington State, Iowa, and USC, and was an assistant coach for the 1984 and 1988 Olympic teams. Beyond sports, Raveling is a global ambassador for Nike and a voracious reader and collector. He famously possesses the original "I Have a Dream" speech, which Martin Luther King Jr. handed to him on the podium in 1963.\n\nHe is the author of Coach: The Best Lessons I Learned on the Road to the Hall of Fame (and a thought leader in modern coaching). Raveling is an expert on "coaching as leadership." He argues that a coach’s job is not to dictate, but to serve. He is a proponent of lifelong learning, owning a personal library of thousands of books. His work focuses on character, curiosity, and the power of relationships.
