Paula Davis
Paula Davis, JD, MAPP, is the founder of the Stress & Resilience Institute. She is a former lawyer who burned out and returned to school to study positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Davis works with organizations—particularly in high-stress fields like law and healthcare—to build systems that prevent burnout.\n\nShe is the author of Beating Burnout at Work: Why Teams Hold the Secret to Well-Being and Resilience. Davis challenges the idea that burnout is an individual problem solved by yoga and kale. She argues it is a systemic issue. Her research shows that the "team" is the most effective unit of change. She provides a framework for leaders to create "psychological safety" and manage workloads to keep their teams healthy.
